In Colombia El Dorado Is the green💚

I want to share with you some impressions of my visit to the Guatavita lagoon, famous because there in the 16th century, the colonizers invented the legend of El Dorado; driven by greed for gold and the stories about the great depósitos that existed un the new continent.  They came to the indigenous territories that were great goldsmiths and after looting all their sacred pieces made of solid gold, they continued with the exploitation of the mines. This is how the legend of El Dorado, a city made of gold reached their ears, where the Muiscas performed the ceremony of the golden Indian, a ritual where the chief covered himself with gold dust, and from a raft they threw gold objects into the lagoon. emeralds as an offering to their gods who inhabited the bottom of the lagoon.
